Over 140 vivid photos provide multiple examples of 47 popular food items and toys.  Each card displays a gorgeous color photo on one side and a photo of a model demonstrating to corresponding sign on the reverse.  American Sign Language was used, supplemented with several specially created signs.

This card set encourages speech development in children with autism and other developmental disabilities who are learning to sign and vocalize as a method of communication.  Multiple examples of each item provide opportunities to facilitate generalization, non-identical matching, labeling, receptive skills, and development of understanding of feature, function, and categorization.

Although designed for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, these cards are appropriate for learners of all ages including individuals with hearing impairment, parents/children using "baby sign", and vocal language users.
